Do you wish to restrict apps from employing risky permissions when the screen is off? Have you ever wondered if an app could eavesdrop on you via the microphone while your device is resting on a table? (the answer is no: apps cannot easily eavesdrop on you unless they are actual malwares; however, they can access your files or obtain your location, etc.)

If so, Permission Ruler is the ideal robust and automated permission manager for you!

Who can benefit from it?
While anyone can utilize this application, there are some constraints. Root permissions are required for automated permission granting and revoking.

How does it function?
Upon screen turn-off, Permission Ruler automatically revokes permissions from all apps (unless exempted). When you turn on the screen, it re-grants all permissions (unless locked).

Why should I employ it?
Oftentimes, phones remain idle with the screen off for more than 70% of the time. This implies that if you grant an app permission to access a feature, that app maintains that permission indefinitely – even if you seldom use that feature. Additionally, it is highly likely that you granted permissions to an app used infrequently throughout the year (e.g., travel/hotel booking apps). Permission Ruler refrains from automatically renewing permissions for unused apps.
